Hey Jealousy

Hey Jealousy

I was looking at the comic I posted today and just to avoid any confusion- I wanted to clarify my “stop taking everything to seriously” was in no way saying “lighten up” to any persecution a girl might face.  Sometimes I worry about what I throw into the world and how much of a target it might make me.  The lighten up message was more to myself, that perhaps I could worry less about the fake geek girl war I could unleash- as I suspect one might experience with a “Hot Nerd” sticker on their car.

Many of the response pieces I see in regards to fake geek girls are defensive and we are still proving ourselves.  The idea of someone driving around with that sticker and not giving a fuck, is kind of nice.

Did an art exchange at The Renaissance Faire with my friend Mark. He has kind of hit the ground running with his art (seriously, how are people so talented right off the bat??).  I anticipated a Star Wars painting, since he already has an impressive collection with SW characters.  Much to my surprise he made me Morpheus from Sandman. In exchange I painted a photoshoot I enjoyed of him and his fiance, Cassie.

The best place to view his artwork I would say is his instagram, @xxmarkabyx  or e-mail him at Massassino2@aol.com

Buy that Doctor Doom painting before I do!
